Enrollment for 2024-2025 school year is now closed.
Elementary aged students transferring from another Montessori Elementary School will be considered for the 2024-2025 school year. Please inquire for grade specific availability.

2025-2026 Enrollment

Thank you for your interest in our Elementary Program! Our Elementary Program is offered to children ages 6-12 years of age.

  1. Observe the Classroom by Appointment
    Classroom observations can be arranged on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings between 9:30 and 11:00. This observation is for parents or guardians only. The observation is for 20 minutes, and the director will debrief and give a tour of the campus afterward.  Email admin@thefiddlehead.org to schedule an observation.

  2. Submit Student Application
    The Student Application will be available on our website starting March 1. Please click the green button below to submit a Student Application through TUIO along with a $100 non-refundable application fee.  The application will be placed in the wait pool.

  3. Attend Parent Information Meeting
    Families are asked to attend one of the Parent Information Meetings (Feb 27 at 6pm, March 22 at 10am or April 16 at 6pm).  We strongly encourage families to come to our Open Campus on March 15, from 2-4 pm.

  4. Application Review Process
    The director will review all Student Applications.

  5. Interview
    The director and/or lead teacher will interview the parents or guardians of prospective students in person or over the phone.

  6. Experience the Classroom

     A group of students will be invited for a "Try Montessori Day," where they will spend the day in the classroom and experience our school environment firsthand.

  7. Acceptance
    The director will send an acceptance letter and enrollment paperwork to the selected families. 

  8. Complete the Enrollment Process
    Families have one week to decide on acceptance. Upon acceptance, families must pay the non-refundable $100 Annual Enrollment Fee along with a deposit equal to one month's tuition.  The deposit will be applied toward June tuition or a transition fee if a family decides to withdraw after enrollment.  All enrollment paperwork is due by Friday, May 15.

We maintain a wait pool rather than a waitlist. Children are not chosen on a first come, first served basis, but instead accepted based on our classroom’s openings. While no Montessori experience is required, we give priority to children with previous Montessori experience and balance our classes based on age and each child’s unique qualities.
