Elementary Tuition
Fiddlehead’s Elementary program uses a flexible tuition system called the “Family Financial Commitment Plan” to make Montessori education accessible to families from different economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds. This plan helps meet part of the school’s budget through "Contracted Fees," which are calculated based on each family’s financial situation.
Instead of a fixed tuition, each family’s Contracted Fee is determined on a sliding scale. The maximum fee is set annually by the school’s Board of Directors.
To figure out your Contracted Fee, all Elementary families need to fill out a Family Financial Worksheet (FFW) when enrolling and every year after. This form helps determine the Financial Tier for contracted fees based on household income. While filling out the Family Financial Worksheet is encouraged, families can choose not to share financial information by signing a Waiver, agreeing to pay the highest tuition fee for the year.
